In July 2004 we climbed Mount Kinabalu, the highest
mountain in South-East Asia. It's located in the state of Sabah,
on the island of Borneo. |

The ascent : The
first day we climbed from 7am to around 1pm, loaded with warm clothes
for the top. We were overtaken by porters including the one
pictured carrying a large gas canister. We rested and slept
overnight in the 'Laban Rata'
resthouse. |
